This class is for flash fiction writers, or the intensely curious, who want to craft stories that bite back. Flash fiction is about more than writing tiny stories. It's about compression, emotional resonance, and writing outside the rules.
In this four-week workshop, we'll talk about structure and how to break it, point of view and how to subvert it, and all the tools you need to craft flash fiction stories that sink their fangs into readers. We focus on interiority, character development, and how to step just slightly outside the norm to give our stories a bit of a surreal edge.
Whether you’re new to flash or looking to level up your short work, you’ll leave with new tools, fresh drafts, and a clearer sense of how to write small stories that hit hard.
