This ongoing 4-week film study course explores the craft of cinema through the lens of storytelling. Designed for screenwriters, writers, filmmakers, and passionate movie lovers alike, this edition takes a curated selection of romantic comedies and breaks down what makes them work. We’ll explore structure, character arcs, chemistry, conflict, dialogue, pacing, comedic timing, genre conventions, and those all-important obstacles keeping our characters apart. Whether you’re writing your own love story or simply want to justify watching rom-coms as “research,” you’ll come away with a sharper eye and a storyteller’s mindset.
