Not every writer loves rigid outlines, but even the most free-spirited storyteller needs a map—even if it’s just arrows scribbled on a napkin. If you love story but hate structure, if you’re stuck in the mushy middle, or if you’re just not sure how to get your character to the end, this three-week course will help you figure it out! Together, we’ll explore how to build a plot around key emotional and structural turning points using Immutable Moments, a structure I designed to help pantsers find the building blocks of their books without plotting the life out of them. Over three weeks, you’ll develop the shape of your story, explore the cause-and effect that keeps it moving, and build a flexible roadmap that gives you somewhere to go while leaving plenty of room for discovery along the way.
